A Silly Little Game

Tonight while I was eating my FAVORITE meal I thought, I wonder if I've told my chums what my favorite meal is. Hmmm.... So I decided to take a picture. Of course I would do that right? Well, I've discovered - taking pictures of food isn't easy, especially food that isn't so pretty. So, I was trying to edit the picture to make it actually look good - since it IS my favorite main dish. Well, I started playing with the "Distortion effects" just to be a little wild and crazy and thought I might make a little game out of it.

So, here's my favorite main dish. Doesn't it look yummy? ha! What do you think it is?

So guess away! I'll put the real picture up later this weekend and tell you what it is. And I'll even tell you how I make it - but I'm warning you now, I don't often use recipes - and I don't have one for this - so you'll have to go easy on me if I don't put enough details in. You'll have to tell me if it doesn't make sense. It's super easy though. I promise.

Abigail is a legal driver!

Abigail got her drivers license today. Now there are four drivers in our house. She took off by herself to Sedgwick (our little town of 1600) this afternoon. It was her first time in the car alone. I'm sure she loved it - I'm not so sure I did. boo hoo Why do our kids have to grow up. It seems like just yesterday that she was playing with dolls. She sure is a fun 16 year old though.

Don't forget to visit Darlene this weekend. She Friday's featured blogger. I'm excited for you to meet her and her to meet you. I know she's hopping around visiting those who visit her. She's really a beautiful human being (inside and out).

Have a most lovely weekend!

Don't be grumpy like Harry.

He had the swing twisted several times when he got on, and when he straightened out (after spinning) he ended up facing backwards (from the way he usually swings). He turned back to look at me with this amazingly unhappy face and said, "Heeeyyy"

Lovin' that photo of Harry! Not sure what your favorite meal is but thanking God it doesn't look like that when you eat it LOL!

I shot in P Mode for the first time tonight and using my 50mm f1.8 lens. I love it! It is what I use most often - but need a wider angle lens for portraits. I'm off to the camera store this weekend to find a new lens! My top two to look at from pro photogs advise are:
85mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.4

the third choice is WAY outta my league for price...24-70mm.

love you!

Maybe it's the Texan in me, but I think I see a tortilla. Looks too messy to be a fajita, though. Maybe some variation of Shepherd's Pie. Salpicon? OK, I have no idea.

Hmm..@ first glance it looks like mashed potatoes with gravy. So--that's my guess. It's not really a 'meal' though, but it's good enough for me! LoL.

Harrison is so adorable. And congrats to Abigail! How exciting for her :)
Heading over to Darlene's blog now...

LOL.... I have absolutely no idea.. you say its a main dish but to me it looks like chocolate pudding. I can't wait to find out what it is. I love that picture of Harry. And I really enjoyed Darlene's blog. I'm envious of that house they are renovating.

The first thing I thought of was pancakes but I know that's not it. That one piece kinda looks like a pancake. I think there's some meat in there. It's hard to tell!

Congrats to Abigail on getting her license!!

Yay for Abigail. How fun. I remember my first drive all alone. I felt so mature and free. Hard to believe that was 18 years ago!

I read your dinner reveal post before this, so the guessing would be no fun. love the pic of Harry! Looks like one of my hubby's baby pics :o)

have a great weekend!
